Whoever marries the spirit of this age will find himself a widower in the next.
– William Ralph Inge
I don’t want to make the claim that we’re in the last days because everything is so messed up and evil reigns supreme.
Yes, things are messed up, but mankind has seen worse days.
Yes, the days are evil, with people being slaughtered in their millions every year, and that, in the name of health.
But this is not unique.
Mankind’s always been evil.
However…
It could be argued that mankind has not seen weirder days.
Sexual sin is rampant, but whereas in the past the news about it could only spread so far, now someone on this side of the planet can see, real-time, what’s happening on the other side of the planet.
It’s unprecedented.
But as for man, he’s always in flux from one evil to the next, from lesser to greater evil.
The Christian must learn to handle this and not go with the flow.
You might think it your moral duty to stand for some cause the UN or Bill and Melinda Gates foist upon their sheep, but it’s probably not.
And next week they’ll have a new thing to virtue signal you on.
Don’t climb on that train. It’s not going anywhere.
That’s what Mr. Inge warned against.
