A rich game farmer fell off his horse and broke his leg while out in a zebra camp one day. He called a farmhand to fetch him, but had to leave his mare behind. Having forgotten about the horse, eleven months later he was driving through the zebra camp at the exact moment his mare went into labour and gave birth to a tiny, listless foal. The farmer gave a wan smile. The thing was but a little zorse of joy.
