Recently bought an Honor Magic 6 Pro smartphone (affiliate link), which comes with Magic OS.
Great phone. Camera’s decent.
Magic OS, however, is not the best Android OS I’ve experienced. Much prefer Samsung.
But I’m in no mood to jailbreak or take some other convoluted action to get the phone to work the way I want it to, so I went scouting for a launcher in the Play Store.
I’ve used Nova before, and I have the paid version. Also a great tool, but somehow I ran into Niagara Launcher.
My soul, what a great tool.
As the name suggests, it’s a waterfall launcher. It works like a directory-style list.
No sideswiping required.
You can add your favourite apps to the top of the list, which means you have immediate access to your Bible, Kindle, any app.
The Pro version gives you a few extra sweeties, like backgrounds and icons, to personalise.
I highly recommend Niagara Launcher. It hits the sweet spot perfectly.
